30 years IMT - one rope team

IMT - a rope team - not only in the mountains.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the company, the whole team of IMT spent three days in the beautiful Valais last week. After a scenic train ride from Chur via Andermatt to Fiesch, we met with Swiss extreme mountaineer Dani Arnold, who has set many records in climbing.... Dani inspired us with examples of outstanding achievements in alpinism and talked about courage, fear, the risk of innovation and the passion to master new challenges. IMT's founders, Christian Büchel and Harri Friberg, shared their perspectives on the company's history of innovation.

The next day we were ready to take on any new challenge. Full of motivation, our team started with professional mountain guides from Volken Sport Fiesch in Fiesch towards Märjelensee. After putting on climbing harnesses, ropes and crampons, we headed to the largest glacier in the Alps - the Aletsch Glacier. During our hike we could learn a lot about the area, the glacier and nature at this altitude. After 15 km of walking in small groups and climbing the Konkordia stairs (115m high!) we finally reached the Konkordia hut at 2'850m. The hike was not easy for everyone, but it brought us together and strengthened our team spirit.

Back in the office today, we are all ready to take on any challenge to bring our clients' ideas to life - we enjoy creating and achieving great things together.
